We would like to introduce the SRIOC (Sunset Resort International Owners Committee).
The SRIOC was established 14 years ago when major issues began to arise at Sunset Resort. We are a group of volunteers who, along with our legal team, have worked tirelessly to protect the interests of owners against the main investor and management companies. These entities have never provided details regarding our condominium’s bank account or audited accounts, which is required under Bulgarian condominium law.
They have never shown owners audited accounts of where the €2.2 million we pay every year in MM fees and where it has been spent, or not spent as the case may be.
Currently, we are collaborating with EVN, VIK and the EU Commission to secure direct access to water and electricity for all owners which is our legal right through Bulgarian and EU law. This access is currently controlled by the investor, Boyan Bonev, which is illegal.
The SRIOC has made significant efforts to unite all Phase 2 owners, but we faced challenges due to the lack of contact information for many owners. We have been working with some fellow owners to gather more contact details. Therefore, we kindly ask any owners who have not been receiving our newsletters to please click on the link and register your information so that we can add you to our mailing list.
It is essential for owners to stay informed about what is happening with their investment. Once you register, you will gain full access to all our previous newsletters, which will provide updates on all matters regarding Sunset Resort.
We are fellow owners working for the benefit of all owners. Although we operate on a voluntary basis, we do hire solicitors to attend AGMs, to handle appeal cases and other court cases and to provide expert legal advice.The SRIOC is fully committed in opening Sunset Resort with independent utility connection ASAP.
